Welcome to the Team: Benjamin McNeil & Flora Stewart Join Dopest Natives Alive
Dopest Natives Alive is proud to welcome Benjamin McNeil and Flora Stewart of the Nisga'a Nation to the team as our new Directors of Apparel, Merchandising & Community Engagement.
This is a major role in the next phase of Dopest Natives Alive.
Benjamin brings years of experience in vending, market coordination, custom clothing design and apparel creation. His work includes designing the iconic camouflage jumpsuit worn by JUNO-nominated artist Tia Wood.
Flora brings experience in Indigenous design, beading, apparel production and design, event coordination and community vending markets. Together, Benjamin and Flora are widely respected for the work they have already put into Vancouver's Indigenous vending and market community.
More Than Merch
Their role will be to help lead the design, creation, production and sale of Dopest Natives Alive apparel — from printing and merchandise production to custom clothing, new concepts, vending and direct community engagement.
They will also become the visible face of DNA merchandise at community markets, gatherings and events.
But the vision goes further than selling products.
We aspire to be more than T-shirts and hoodies.
Dopest Natives Alive wants to continue pushing the design and custom-clothing side of the movement and help raise the bar for contemporary Indigenous apparel and fashion.
Benjamin and Flora will be behind helping establish that movement — developing original pieces, new ideas and a stronger fashion identity while keeping the work connected directly to community.
Building the Next Chapter
Dopest Natives Alive is growing by putting capable Indigenous people in positions where they can lead, create and take real responsibility for the areas they know best.
Benjamin and Flora are not simply joining a merch team.
They are helping build what Dopest Natives Alive apparel becomes next.
